The artist Marius Jonutis continues the tradition of presenting an exhibition every spring at the Meno Niša gallery. This year, we are happy to invite you to Marius’ sixteenth exhibition.

The show opens on April 10, at 6PM, and will run until May 11. Entrance is free.

Marius Jonutis on the exhibition and fairy tales:

The sixteenth spring exhibition at Meno Niša consists of two parts.

The first part shows images and stories that came to my mind and were put on canvass over the year since my last exhibition. They do not have a single unifying theme or style, I simply painted what I wanted without putting any constraints on myself.

The second part consists of wooden illustrations I did for the book Princess on the Glass Mountain. The Twelve Most Beautiful Lithuanian Fairy Tales and One, published by the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore. The works were done over the summer and autumn last year.

It’s great to be able to work and show completed works. Work is a celebration, it saves, protects, hides and shelters one in a better world. At least one part of this world will be visible to people who’ll come to the show. I thank you for it.
