525 years ago, Grand Duke Alexander approved in writing the statute of the Vilnius Goldsmiths’ Workshop, modeled on Western Europe. This year, on the occasion of the 525th anniversary the Goldsmiths’ Guild invites artists to participate in the “VIII International Enamel Biennial Vilnius 2020”.
The Enamel Art Biennale was supposed to take place in 2019, moved to 2020, withholding the 2019 Enamel Biennials in St. Petersburg and Russia, this way encouraging artists to participate in various enamel art biennials in an international scale.
The theme of the VIII International Enamel Biennial Vilnius 2020 is left to the authors’ interpretation – ‘Gorgeous. Interesting. Unrepeatable.’ The main goal of the biennial is the dissemination of enamel art, the expansion of new artistic ideas and technical possibilities.
