Marija Gabrielė Karputė (b. 2000) is a visual artist working primarily with drawing, artist’s books, imprints, and site-specific installations. Her creative practice investigates themes of time, memory, material-immaterial traces, and the connections between personal and universal narratives. She approaches her works as gatherings of often-overlooked everyday fragments, allowing them to speak, or at least to whisper.
Marija completed her MA and BA degrees in Graphic Arts at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania (2019–2025) and studied at the Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts in Finland (2024). Her works have been exhibited in group exhibitions across Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Spain, Serbia, and the Czech Republic.
